ABOUT THE SOCIETYThe SSAH was founded in 1984 to promote art history in Scotland. It is open to everyone interested in art, from those with a general interest to specialist scholars, students, teachers, curators, collectors and dealers. PUBLICATIONSAll members receive a free copy of our annual journal, a leading Scottish periodical for the publication of new art historical research, as well as regular newsletters packed with features, exhibition listings and other news. EVENTSWe arrange regular conferences and study days for our members on a wide variety of subjects, including art, design, architecture and photography. We also hold a number of special events throughout the year including visits to museums, galleries and private art collections. GRANTSWe aim to support and encourage art history by offering research grants. ASSOCIATION FOR ART HISTORY DISCOUNTAs a member of SSAH you are also entitled to a 20% discount on membership of the Association for Art History. |
